Shaken, Not Stirred.

Hello :)

So, last night was the Willamette Black Tie event, which was held at the Salem Convention Center. It was lovely, I really enjoyed it. It was the kind of evening I think my dad would enjoy, haha. We arrived around 7 and everyone was dressed up elegantly (men in suits....waaaaahhhhh <3), and we sat down at our own tables which had been adorned with salad and dessert. There was a jazz band playing and the university choir were singing on stage, and after we ate the salad the waiters bought our entrĂ©es. I had chicken and it was served with roast vegetables and mashed potato and stuffing. I don't like mashed potato or stuffing (runs and hides), but the rest was so good! Then I don't even have to explain how good dessert was....it was cheesecake. Nuff said.

The DJ then came and the rest of the night was spent dancing. It ended around midnight. I hadn't taken my shoes off and had been dancing pretty much non-stop for 2-3 hours so I went home and dived into bed while some of the others went to a house party. The whole thing was kind of like a wedding, and it's what I enjoy when I'm too young to drink. I enjoyed myself, and I found that Americans really don't care what they look like when they dance...really, I saw some pretty impressive moves, haha.

Today I got up at 12:30pm which felt pretty good. I went to the gym (where I saw my dad aka Fabio Capello on TV) and now I'm back in bed and I think I'm just going to watch some movies and One Piece (TRAFALGAR LAW IS BACK ARGGGHH <3) and stuff. Might have an early night seeing as I've planned to go to the gym and then swim tomorrow, and eat super healthy as the last night I ate cheesecake and cookies and Im about to stuff this Dairy Milk down my throat cause Dairy Milk is the best chocolate ever -_- Screw Hersheys. ;) hehe.

A Date with my Cookies.

Hi,

Happy Valentines day everyone. I hope you all have a great day. That was a lie. I hate this stupid day created by chocolate companies to make singles feel like shit while those in couples sit on their stuck up train saying things like 'lol I have a boyfriend', and open their flowers and chocolates from their boyfriend in the mail room...cause who needs to wait till they get home?

Anyway, today marks an occasion for me too. When I went to Florida 6 years ago I couldn't eat. I was going through some crap blah blah...but I remember my brother eating these ice cream cookie sandwiches. I remember really wanting one, but I couldn't have one. Well, today, I finally have! haha. It was good, the perfect antidote for my bitterness on this stupid day. Honestly, when someone finally loves me, if they get me anything for Valentines Day I will punch them in the face, and I'm not going to get them anything. I have to fork out hundreds of pounds for their birthday and christmas...THEY DON'T GET ANOTHER DAY AND NEITHER DO I! -_- If they don't know I'm kind of into them by that point then we shouldn't be together.

Meh.

Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs

Hello :)

So over the weekend me and the exchange students decided to go to Seattle. We rented cars and drove about a 3 hours journey. I loved it so much! I was nice to be in a city again, especially one as artistic as Seattle. I always thought of it as a Frasier Crane sort of place, but it really wasn't. It was full of street art and cultural bars and sushi restaurants, and the hostel we stayed in was amazing. It had awesome graffiti artwork on the walls and was full of travellers our age. It's really set me up for going travelling with my friend Kirsty in the future. We went for pizza on the first night, and met this guy called Matt who was a musician. He dropped out of college and went travelling with his guitar and plays in public places whenever he can. He seemed to really enjoy it, and when asked, he said he was happy that he didn't continue doing engineering, because it wasn't what he was passionate about. He was so interesting to talk to.

That night some of the group went to club, while the rest of us (6 of us) decided instead to just go and sit in a bar. I used my friends ID and it went down fine (hides from police) and it was nice to just sit and chat for a while. We went to one bar that was open till about 2am serving pizza and drinks. Obviously, we had already had pizza, so we just stayed for drinks. I had a cocktail called...I dunno....blackberry something and it was delicious. The rim of the glass had sugar on it and I felt all posh and grown up. haha.

On the second day we went up the space needle, and some of us visited the museum of music and art. It was a really lovely view from the top of the needle, and I took some amazing photos of the city. Unfortunately, I saw no whales, and when we got in the car to journey back to Salem I was sad to see Seattle go. I felt very at home there.

Seattle is definitely a place I would go again, maybe when I'm 21. I want to experience more of the music and art culture there. Meanwhile, I am back in Salem, trying not to spend any money this week. For Spring Break, me and the girls have decided to go with Johanna to Vancouver, and then to San Francisco. A lot of driving, but it will be cheaper than the flights to L.A, and I won't be alone. I'm really looking forward to that!
